Free Weekend Lab Experiences July 6, 2007

Join us every weekend July 7-29 for family-friendly lab experiences!

Available Saturday and Sunday, at 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm:
Biology Lab: Birdhouse Design
From playing softball to swimming at the public pool, you'll get to spend time at all of your favorite hangouts this summer. And just like you enjoy playing in your tree fort, birds need a place to get away, too!

Science Lab: Water Blasters
Have you ever stopped to think about how water blasters work and why water shoots out so far and so fast? Design and build a blaster to squirt water and keep cool all summer.

Available Saturday and Sunday at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm:
Electronics Lab: Marker Bots
Using a simple electric motor, cup and markers, create a mini-robot that utilizes its own vibrations to draw and color!

Prototyping Lab: Tensile Structures
Design a roof or canopy prototype structure in which every part is loaded only in tension and resists compression or bending forces.

All labs are free, but reservations are first come, first serve at the 2nd floor concierge desk at Discovery World.
