Free Teen Improv Class at The PIT February 2, 2009

The PIT is offering a giveaway with some remaining spots in the Intro to Improv for Teens Class (ages 14-17)!

Ages 14-17. This class utilizes theatre games, scene work and group exercises to teach teens the fundamentals of improvisation. Students are offered an overview of different kinds of improvisation, giving them a toolbox of skills. With a focus on building an ensemble, students develop their teamwork and listening skills. They will learn to relax and react on stage while building a scene with depth of relationship, environment and character. They are able to explore and expand their creativity in a safe and respectful environment. The class culminates with a professional graduation show for family and friends at The PIT. Students in this program will have the opportunity to audition for a Teen Improv House Team who will perform weekly at The PIT.

January 26 to April 13 (12 weeks, you can still sign up this week!)
