Enjoy a Free Night-Out with a Movie -
at the Sustainable Film Series!
Sustainable Sandhills invites you to enjoy a free film on Thursday, March 12! The Sustainable Film Series will offer free films with green themes every other month in Cumberland and Moore Counties.
The next film is the award-winning documentary Asparagus! Stalking the American Life by Anne de Mare and Kristen Kelly. The film documents the importance of the asparagus crop to the people of the Asparagus Capitol of the World, Oceana County, Michigan. The film will take place on Thursday, March 12 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the PWC Operations Center, 955 Old Wilmington Road (the two-story building facing Old Wilmington and MLK/CBD Loop, not the four-story building facing Eastern Blvd).
The goal of Sustainable Sandhills is to heighten public awareness of pressing sustainability issues with fun films for everyone. All ages are invited to attend. Community dialogue following each film is optional, yet encouraged. Please visit SustainableSandhills.org for additional movie dates, times and locations.
