The Hampshire County Arts Council is pleased to present a free concert featuring The Barnstormers, Tom Jolin and Slim Harrison, who have played traditional American music together since 1980. Tom plays the hammer dulcimer, banjo, button accordion, guitar, harmonica, bowed psaltery and more. Slim plays the fiddle, banjo, guitar, mountain dulcimer, autoharp and jaws harp. Both sing.
Prior to the concert in the afternoon, the duo will conduct a mini instrument-making workshop for children, who will then participate in the concert as part of Slim's Sunnyland Jug Band. For details about the workshop or concert, call 304-496-8201 or e-mail performances@hampshirearts.org.
