Christmas in Yellowstone
NATURE takes a breathtaking look at wintertime deep within Americas first national park. Christmas in Yellowstone is a tableau of mesmerizing scenes: a red fox shows its ingenious method of hunting rodents beneath the snow; frost-covered bison huddle close by geothermal springs; a stoic bald eagle perches high up on a bare branch; and geyser steam rises beneath the winter solstice horizon that turns from pink to fiery orange. Amidst the bountiful wildlife and pristine landscapes, the film trails alongside Tom Murphy, author and photographer who spends part of each winter camping in the park and capturing intimate portraits of Yellowstones prime animal residents from elk to trumpet swans.
