Join Virginia Opera for a special screening of the film The Kindness of Strangers, which documents the making of André Previn’s opera A Streetcar Named Desire from the first rehearsals to its opening night premiere at San Francisco Opera in September of 1998.Throughout the film André Previn reflects on his experience in making the Opera and how it relates to his international life and career. The film provides exclusive insight into this remarkable opera, which is based on the classic Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Tennessee Williams.
