The Boston Sailing Center will again offer free sailboat rides on Boston Harbor during a public open house reception on Saturday, June 23, 2007 from 1pm to 6pm.
Sailing neophytes of all ages - as well as seasoned skippers - are invited to join the festivities. 'Round-the-harbor sailboat trips will be conducted by experienced skippers aboard boats ranging in length from 23 to 40 feet. Complimentary refreshments will be available.
The Center's teaching staff will also be on hand to answer questions about sailing basics, and about the history of Boston Harbor as a focal point of maritime activity in New England.
The free sailing event is a repeat of the Center’s season-opening celebration in late April that attracted over 2,000 people for rides on the Harbor.
