In honor of National Prostate Health Month in September, men ages 35 and older are invited to receive FREE health screenings at Medical City’s Cancer Resource Center.
Screenings to include:
• PSA test (screening to detect prostate cancer)
• Cholesterol level evaluation
• Testosterone level evaluation
• Hemoccult test (for colon cancer)
• Free consultation with a urologist
Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among men in the United States, after lung cancer, affecting one in six men. It is also the most common form of cancer in men, excluding various forms of skin cancer.
Early detection is key. Because approximately 90 percent of all prostate cancers are detected early through PSA Test and exams, the cure rate for prostate cancer is very high — nearly 100 percent of men diagnosed and treated at this stage will be disease-free after five years.
Appointments required; to schedule an appointment please call (972) 566-2333.
