The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW), a community art school located at 545 7th Street, SE (just two blocks south of the Eastern Market metro), hosts an open photography lecture and demonstration on the Large Format Portrait on Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Led by photography instructor extraordinaire Tom Wolff, this demo will look at the pros and cons of using a large format camera for portraits using a 4x5 Press camera, incorporating lighting with a portable Lumadyne flash, and various other tools of the trade.
In addition, the Capitol Hill Art League will be hosting an art exhibition and gallery talk by juror Catriona Fraser, photographer and owner and director of the Fraser Gallery on March 10, 2007 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Both events are free and open to all!
