Free Outdoor Art Market in Sopchoppy Saturday June 4th
Sopchoppy’s Eclectic Music & Art Forum~~”The Frog and The Hummingbird Co & Butterfield’s Roadhouse” is working on yet another one of their free community affairs
Salli Squitieri and Gabriel Butterfield proprietors of Sopchoppy’s award winning Eclectic Music & Art forum are currently working on an idea they have implemented in many communities.
From day one of their arrival to Sopchoppy they have hoped to expand their venue’s featured art shows into a Free Community Art Market.
The First Sopchoppy Art Market is scheduled for Saturday June 4th and will repeat the first Saturday of each month outside of The Frog and The Hummingbird Co & Butterfield’s Roadhouse along Municipal Ave and Rose St.
Salli and Gabriel will be offering a 10% discount on same day purchases at their store as their way of saying thank you for visiting and they will also be doing free door prize drawings and offering complimentary Iced Tea and cookies to visitors.
The event will include free live music and tips are encouraged for performers.
Musicians already lined up are Gabriel Butterfield, Bodega Bob and Sugar Harris of Cheap and Easy, Andy Moorer, Deb Berlingerof the Mayhaws and the Charles Atkins Band, Jim Croizer, Mike Lanigan (Salty) of Swinging Harpoon Band and more.
Artists, Crafters, Authors and assorted vendors are invited to set up tables for free for this affair.
Instead of a booth/table fee artists are requested to donate a small prize of any type for the free drawings and to assist with networking and spreading the word of this event.
“The Frog and The Hummingbird Co & Butterfield’s Roadhouse” is a venue that directly supports all art and is helping to support live music.
These events are their way of making a small positive contribution to this rural community and to the region.
Salli and Gabriel expressed that it is during these economic challenging times that the arts are often the first to suffer. Yet it is most often the musicians and artists who are among the first to step up and donate their work and services for an array of good causes.
They hope that everyone will come out and help support the evolution of this fun and free event.
They also encourage everyone to browse the many local businesses that Sopchoppy has to offer.
Please remember to bring a donation of one non-perishable food item for our local food bandk and/or a pet need for CHAT or used eye glasses for the Lion's Club.
