Salsambó began as a project to deliver the hard Salsa (salsa dura) and Latin Jazz back into the scene in November of 2006. The band director, Gilbert Roman (who also directed Conquista Musical of Sacramento for many years) embarked upon this project using many talented musicians from the Sacramento and outlying areas.

Inspired by such bands and individuals such as Roberto Roena, Bobby Valentin, Willie Rosario, Frankie Vasquez, Herman Olivera, Manny Oquendo y Libre, and many others, Salsambó has developed into one of the more solid, hard-hitting Salsa/Latin Jazz bands in the Northern California area. The band has a strong, powerful vocal section lead by Jose Ochoa of Cuba, a swinging rhythm section, a sizzling percussion section and a blazing horn section that will make you move your body.

In addition to the live salsa orchestra Pearl Champagne Lounge offers drink specials on Bud, Bud Light, Corzo tequila and holiday prices on Thursday bottle service.

Doors open at 7 pm. BB of Salsa Reno will be teaching a salsa lesson from 7:30 to 9pm. Dancing starts at 9pm. Live orchestra starts at 9:30pm. Free and open to the public.
