Tue & Thur, Jun 15 & 17, 6pm-9pm both days
The San Francisco LGBT Community Center is hosting the next, in-depth homebuyer's educational workshop on June 15th and 17th from 6 to 9 p.m. This two-part workshop is being taught by Ethan Pope, one of the nation's most respected homebuyer education instructors. The workshop is open to everyone.
The best first step to become a homeowner is to attend this in-depth, pre-purchase homebuyer workshop designed to inform renters about the entire home buying process. It will also cover repairing credit and saving for down payments. The workshop will inform participants about the financial benefits of owning a home. After completing this homebuyer education workshop, participants will be eligible to apply for a variety of homebuyer assistance including free, one-on-one counseling, and other programs available through the Mayor's Office of Housing (MOH).
This workshop is also a necessary step to qualify for down-payment assistance available through the Mayor's Office of Housing. Upon completion of the workshop, prospective homeowners will be paired with a professional housing counselor who will assist each client independently and confidentially to customize a personal action plan.
RSVP to kens[at]sfcenter[dot]org to reserve a place in the workshop. Participants are also eligible for free childcare during the workshop by contacting 415-865-5649 in advance.
