Executive producer/screenwriter Tracy Torme to
discuss writing for film and television on March 4 in Glendale
Tracy Torme will speak at the Alameda Writer's Group (AWG) meeting on Saturday, March 4, 2006. Doors open at 9:45 a.m. and the meeting begins at 10 a.m. at the Glendale Central Library, 222 East Harvard St. Glendale.
Torme is an executive producer/screenwriter for motion pictures and television. He is also a published novelist. Torme won a Peabody Award during a two year stint at "Star Trek: The Next Generation. He also wrote and produced "Fire in the Sky" for Paramount Studios. His current projects include collaborating with Daniel Knauf, the creator of "Carnivale" on two TV series, a comedy called "Where the Hart Is" and a drama called "Mystic Six." For the past decade he has executive produced various television series an now works as a creator of new programming.
Admission is free, and the library validates parking in the structure at Harvard and Maryland.
The AWG presents lectures by novelists, screenwriters, agents, producers, and other industry professionals at free monthly meetings. In addition, AWG members may attend special interest groups that offer support and feedback for works-in-progress.
