Good Mews, a no-kill cat shelter in Marietta, Georgia, will be hosting a free testing service in conjunction with the Georgia EPD Lead-Based Program for those concerned about lead content in toys and pet food bowls (painted, plastic or ceramic). With the recent recall of childrens toys found to be tainted with lead, concerned parents and pet owners may want to take advantage of this opportunity to test. Good Mews will hold the event at their facility at 736 Johnson Ferry Road, Suite A-3, Marietta, GA 30068, on Sunday December 9, from 1pm to 4pm. An Environmental Specialist from Georgia EPD will be there to conduct the testing and answer questions regarding potential lead hazards.
