Free Jazz Concert at MDC Wolfson Campus January 19, 2011

Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Arts and Philosophy Department at Wolfson Campus will continue its successful jazz series, Jazz at Wolfson Presents, with a performance by jazz vibraphonist Gary Mayone on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at noon.

For the past 35 years, Mayone has been an iconic member of the South Florida music scene. He has performed with some of jazz’s most respected musicians, including Jaco Pastorious, Clark Terry, Duffy Jackson, Herbie Mann and Bill Watrous. With more than 50 CD recordings to his credit, Gary has recorded with Michael Brecker, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock and Jaco Pastorious.
