This month's HDIF Presents is a pre-Indietracks special, with bands and DJs who are either booked to play the festival or are planning to gatecrash it!
Pocketbooks
Pocketbooks are a pop band from London, combining melodic boy/girl harmonies, spiralling guitars and delicate piano lines. Expect a sprinkling of dazzling 60s soul alongside some sparkling indiepop charm! Their debut album, "Flight Paths", will finally be out by the time of this show.

Northern Portrait
Stars of the recent San Francisco Popfest, this new band from Copenhagen play elegant, literate guitar pop in the vein of The Smiths, Felt and Gene. Their debut album, on Matinee Recordings, is out now.

Standard Fare
A trio from Sheffield who blur the lines between post-punk and indiepop, Standard Fare sound like a long lost Peel favourite brought back to life for 2009. Angular, melodic, spiky, intimate, there are hints of Young Marble Giants, The Go-Betweens, early PJ Harvey and The Lodger all tussling for space here. They're the only band on our line-up not playing Indietracks, but, you know, really, they should be. Next year...

Moustache Of Insanity
A duo comprising a Swede and an Australian, Moustache Of Insanity play what indie-mp3 call ”a daft combination of twee bedroom pop and the Moldy Peaches”. We hear the wry pop of Jens Lekman and the Salty Pirates, and a whole bundle of fun.
