Escalation in Iraq, the Coming Attack on Iran, and What We Can Do About It All
With panelists
Rachelle Marshall, Columnist, Washington Report on Middle East Affairs
Lenny Siegel, Activist, Mountain View Voices for Peace
Paul George, Director, Peninsula Peace and Justice Center
Another 21,500 U.S. troops are headed for the ever-deepening chaos of Iraq. Meanwhile, the Bush administration is also escalating its saber-rattling toward Iran. In the midst of this, a mass march on the White House, scheduled for January 27, may give us insight into the state of the peace movement.
What does it all mean and where is it all headed? Can Bush's seemingly endless war-mongering be brought to a halt? Is the U.S. really planning on the widening the war in the Middle East? How can we effectively organize to forestall another tragic, ill-conceived pre-emptive war? Bring your questions and concerns and join us for a lively investigation and discussion of these most pressing issues facing our country.
Free and open to the public. The program will be broadcast and webcast live on Mid-Peninsula Community Media Cable Channel 27 and rebroadcast throughout February as part of the ongoing "Other Voices" television series produced by Peninsula Peace and Justice Center.
