What causes diabetes? What are smart food choices for diabetics? These and other questions will be answered at three FREE seminars on diabetes during April and May. Designed for people with diabetes or those who have family members with diabetes, the seminars will offer literature, free diabetic products, demonstrations of products such as meters, and information on services for diabetic patients. Diet and proper care techniques for managing the disease will be discussed and refreshments will be served.
The seminars will be held at the following Omaha Public Library locations:
* April 14, 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., Millard Branch, 13214 Westwood Ln. A special session featuring Dr. Robert Brown and Diabetic Educator Julie Evans will be presented at 11:15 a.m.
