Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Latin Jazz Big Band will put a little jazz, funk and Latin beat in your step when they perform on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Wolfson Campus Auditorium, building 1, second floor. This concert is free and open to the public!
The Wolfson Campus Latin Jazz Big Band is a 20-piece professional ensemble comprised of MDC faculty, prominent South Florida professional musicians, and talented students. The group performs contemporary Latin jazz music along with Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and other popular styles found in Miami. The ensemble's repertoire includes original compositions by fantastic Miami composers like Rafael (Cali) Valencia and Jaui Schneider (formerly with Ray Barretto), as well as the music of artists like Mario Bauza, Bobby Sanabria and Eddie Palmieri.
