A touch of blues makes it to the Lemon Bay Playhouse stage in the form of Frannie Nichols and the Sugar Rockets Blues Band on Sunday, April 25, at 2:00 PM. Frannie Nichols- has been playing in bands since the age of 14. Originally from Long Island New York, her main influences were The Doors, The Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin and Lee Michaels. After exploring different styles of music, she went back to her blues roots, playing such places as Orlando House of Blues, Tobacco Road, City Jazz Club, and Blues Festivals. Frannie, with the Sugar Rocket band, plays keys and sings lead, bringing her style of blues to the West Coast of Florida.
