Frank London: A Night in the Old Market Place March 20, 2008

Frank London will perform his acclaimed folk opera, "A Night in the Old Marketplace," based on the 1907 Yiddish play by I.L. Peretz. The extraordinary score mixes Jewish jazz, classical, rock and world beats with a dose of Kurt Weill and Tom Waits. Mr. London helped spark a musical revolution with the Klezmatics, and has lent his talent as composer and trumpeter to diverse projects with everyone from Itzhak Perlman to LL Cool J.
