The Be A Leader Foundation is hosting the fourth annual “Taking Steps Towards College Success” walk-a-thon. The event highlights the importance of promoting and supporting higher education among Arizona’s youth. Providing access to college going materials and informing families of the importance of higher education enhances a student’s chance of going to college.
The walk begins with a local college resource fair featuring more than 50 organizations with scholarship and program information and will culminate with a national college fair showcasing 200+ universities. Tours of the College Depot at Burton Barr Library will also be available.

10 a.m. Remarks by Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and Be A Leader’s Founders Melissa and Gary Trujillo
11 a.m. – noon Walk-a-thon
