Gregory Vajda, Guest Conductor
Nigel Armstrong, Violin
Vivaldi, The Four Seasons
Glazunov, The Seasons Op. 67
Guest Conductor Gregory Vajda, who has fast become a sought-after conductor on the international scene, will conduct a piece of baroque music. Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, a set of four concertos, ingeniously molds together depictions of delightfully characteristic weather reports. Staying with the season’s theme is Glazunov’s colorful ballet The Seasons, performed as a live painter, whose simultaneous creation will be projected on a screen.
