FOUR GENERATIONS OF RACING: RACE CARS FROM THE PERMANENT COLLECTION of the UNSER RACING MUSEUM
Eighteen classic race cars driven by four generations of Unser family drivers are on display at the Unser Racing Museum's Four Generations of Racing exhibit. The cars, which represent a little less than half of the permanent collection of the museum, are joined by memorabilia spanning more than 50 years of racing history.
The Unser family tree boasts 14 professional drivers, and the Unser family history is tied to the history of Albuquerque, where Unser kids grew up racing on the city's West Side. The family has won the Indy 500 an historic nine times and has dominated the Pike's Peak International Hill Climb, winning so often that the Peak is known in racing circles as “Unsers' Mountain”.
