Start with four richly gifted singer-songwriters, add 3/4 cup married life, four kids, four part harmony vocals, one piano, four guitars, one Rockin' Purple Bass, a dollop of sharp social commentary, cheerleading pom poms, a pinch of PMS, a wardrobe of bling-bling, and youve got the Estrogen-fueled group, Four Bitchin' Babes. This quartet of talented and funny ladies returns to the Williamsburg Library, 515 Scotland Street, for a Thursday, November 29 concert at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students and Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library with ID and $12 for those under 16. Reservations can be made by calling (757) 259-4070. This is another in the Williamsburg Regional Library's Dewey Decibel Concert Series.
Always evolving, witty and charming, the Babes include original members Sally Fingerett and Debi Smith (who is a Grammy nominee this year) as well as recent Babes Deirdre Flint, a Philadelphia comedienne, and Nashville country songwriter Nancy Moran. The quartet puts on a musical revue that is one part comedy road show, one part celebration of hearth and home. Hormonal Imbalance - A Mood Swinging Musical Revue, is their estrogen-fueled hilarious show celebrating the best of Babes, Boys and Botox.
With sorority sister chemistry they perform original songs and stories offering both poignant views and unbridled comedic commentary on the joys and dilemmas of everyday life. With heavenly harmony they share struggles to balance careers and family, chocolate obsessions with low-carb inner peace, CNN and TV Land. From promising to never pay retail and finding a man who cooks, to dealing with inadequate pay and inadequately cut swim wear, all the while living victoriously after the Romantic Bubble Bursts.
Spend an entertaining evening with these outrageously funny and multi-talented musician gal pals as they examine and ultimately celebrate the lives of todays men and women as we all search for balance.
