149 years ago, the land "between the rivers" was bracing for war. Confederate forces occupied Fort Henry with federal forces moving up the Tennessee River. At The Homeplace, learn about this exciting period in LBL history during an informative program about the construction, the battle, and the legacy of Fort Henry. Later, relive the siege of Fort Henry on a guided walk around the remnants of Fort Henry's outer fortification. Dress for the weather, waterproof footgear recommended, and moderate walking required.
