Forro in the Dark July 14, 2010

“One of New York’s great party bands” (New York Times), with songs that can barely contain the energy inside them, Forro in the Dark grafts dub, indie rock, funk, jazz, and even country & western swing into a unique sound that stays true to the original idea behind Brazilian forró: the dancing. Hip-swiveling, dancefloor-filling forró music is vibrantly performed by this New York–based group of Brazilian ex-pats.
