Betsy is graduating from college and her parents are giving her best party ever. They hired the best caterer in the city and they will out do their friends and neighbors with this party. There will be none grander! But what they have to go through to get there may not be worth the price. The caterer virtually makes them prisoners not in their home. She takes over and makes a shamble of things.
There is also a stronger story here too. One about why some people will stay together no matter what - all for the benefit of Betsy.
Evelyn Shafner along with her husband ran Kiddieland for almost 50 years in the Denver area. Evelyn is a long time Denver resident and has written this play with the Player's Guild of the Festival Playhouse in mind to be the first to present this bright new comedy.
Ralston House, the only child advocacy center in Jefferson County, serves children and teens who are suspected of being sexually, physically, and/or emotionally abused. In partnership with law enforcement, social services and the district attorney’s office, Ralston House provides forensic interview services, medical services, and family/victim support services – all free of charge for victim families and investigative agencies.
Charles Ault, Sr. started The Player Guild in 1936 as a means to put food on the table in the middle of the depression. A love for the theatre and a creative mind brought a group of talented community actors and actresses together to provide the public with live entertainment. This concept was passed on to his son Charley Ault, Jr. who now runs The Players Guild.
