Football Festival and Crossfit Combine July 20, 2013

Join us in July 2013, for a day of fun in the sun at the Boys and Girls Club of Alachua County. Football season is just around the corner, so why not start the fun just a bit earlier. This event is for everyone, so bring the whole family and all of your friends!

Last year's Football Festival and Crossfit Combine included:
Do you have what it takes to play like the UF Gator football team and compete in our football challenges? For those serious athletes, try out your skills and see if you can survive our cross fit challenges!

The football challenges include:
• 40-Yard Dash
• Vertical Jump
• Push-Ups
• Long-Distance Throw
• Longest Field Goal
• Longest Punt
• Flag Football Tournament

The cross-fit challenges include:
• Pull-Ups
• 1 Mile Run
• Squats
• Sit-Ups
• Tire Roll
• Sled Pull
• Rock Climb
• Weight Challenge

Challenges will be hosted by: Gainesville Health and Fitness, Next Level Sports and Fitness, Alter Ego, Body by Boris and a few others.

Event Schedule:

10 to 11 am: Vendors set up food, music, gym equipment, etc.
11 am: Event Begins
11 to 4 pm: Live Music
11 to 4 pm: Food provided by Domino's Pizza, Mochi and Texas Roadhouse
12 to 3:30 pm: Football and Cross Fit Challenges
3:30 to 4 pm: Awards Ceremony, Announcement of Donation Total & Announcement of Silent Auction Winners

Tickets are only $20, but if you donate any sporting goods you will receive $5 off the admission price.

Play It Again Sports will purchase all of the donated sporting goods and all the money collected will be given to the Boys and Girls Club, so that they can purchase new football uniforms.

There will be live music, food from Domino's Pizza, Mochi and Texas Roadhouse and maybe a few SURPRISE visits from some of the Gator athletes!

A Silent Auction will also be taking place with prizes such as a cruise for two to the Bahamas, gym memberships, gift certificates to various downtown restaurants, and many more!

See you out on the field for a day of fun and exercise, while giving back to a great cause!
