Food, Wine & Co. Aphrodisiac Menu + Love Potion Cocktails February 14, 2013

One of Bethesda's best date spots, Food, Wine & Co. is celebrating Valentine's Day with a special Aphrodisiac Menu from Executive Chef Michael Harr. The decadent a la carte menu features starters like ROASTED FOIE GRAS with cherry confiture, pistachio brittle, brioche pan perdu ($21) and CRUDO OF KONA KAMPACHI with tangerine, macadamia nut, crispy shitake, mizuna, candied lime ($12) and savory mains like STUFFED RABBIT SADDLE with cornbread-chorizo stuffing, mexican red chile mole, pumpkin seeds, pickled jicama, spiced cocoa crumble ($26) and SERRANO HAM CRUSTED ARCTIC CHAR with Jerusalem artichokes, lemon confit, winter cress, fingerling sweet potatoes and Monticello red wine sauce ($24). Diners can end their night on a sweet note with desserts like CHESTNUT CRÈME withchocolate streusel, spiced meringue, rum ice cream ($8) and CAJETA CHEESECAKE with espresso cajeta caramel, sour cream ice cream ($8).

For those who would rather sip their inhibitions away, Food, Wine & Co. will also serve up four Love Potion Cocktails (all $13)featuring desire-inducing ingredients like dates, agave and chocolate. Sips will range from the LOVE POTION # 9, combining bourbon, cinnamon and cardamom-infused simple syrup, Disaronno amaretto liqueur and bitters, garnished with three sherry-soaked dates, mango foam and strawberry "powder", to the LOVE POTION #5, a concoction of tequila, ginger-infused chai liquor, apple juice reduction and melon liqueur, topped with Champagne and garnished with rosewater spheres.
