Food Traditions in Today's Puglia - Cirasola and Cirasola October 25, 2011

The Italian Cultural Institute presents, in collaboration with Enogastronomia curator Viola Buitoni, a special evening taking a closer look at the culinary traditions of Puglia.
First, food author Valentina Cirasola will share the heritage of her family of artists and food connoisseurs in her two books on the cuisine of Puglia. Books will be available for purchase
This will be followed by a screening of "Focaccia Blues" with filmmaker Nico Cirasola in person. This delightful movie chronicles what happened when McDonald’s brought its tried and true formula to the stunning town of Altamura in Puglia and opened right next door to a revered focaccia shop.
