Sea Lions at Rocky Coast: Feeding times are posted daily at the exhibit. Zookeepers normally post one to two feeding times. Please look for the sign in front of the exhibit. Weekend feedings are normally scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Times may vary according to animal needs and exhibit activities. Seabirds at the Rocky Coast--The seabirds have two feeding times daily. The first feeding time is at 9 a.m. and the second is at 1:30 p.m. Alligators at the Cypress Swamp Exhibit--Did you know alligators do not eat during the winter? Between May 1st and September 30th, our alligators are fed at 10 a.m. on Sundays and Wednesdays only. The feeding procedure lasts for about 15 minutes. Vampire Bats at Sonora Desert Exhibit--On Saturday, Sunday and holidays at 3:30 p.m., visit the Sonora Desert Exhibit for the vampire bat feeding and keeper talk. Birds at the R. J. Reynolds Forest Aviary Exhibit--The birds have two feeding times daily. The first feeding time is between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. During winter operating hours, the second bird feeding is between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Baboons at the African Pavilion will be fed at 2 pm daily. Gorillas at the Forest Glade Exhibit are fed daily at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Zookeepers will feed the gorillas from an elevated platform behind the exhibit. The chimpanzees at Kitera Forest are fed on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Lemurs at Lemur Island--On Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 a.m., a keeper will perform a training session with the lemurs on exhibit and take questions from visitors at Lemur Island.
