Learn about the legacy of Leonardo DaVinci through the eyes of today's Italian Cultural Code.
For centuries, the remnants of the Roman empire have shaped the culture of modern Italy. For all of us, our thoughts of Italy were formed around images of inventions, art, music, film, and fashion as set against a backdrop of culinary enchantments. At a typical restaurant it's not uncommon to spot a table with a collision of cultures including the likes of mafia godfathers, corrupt politicians, innocent children, and Catholic priests. How do we make sense of this paradox?
As we look closely at how modern-day Italy is unfolding, it is through their communications (both verbal and non-verbal), personal relationships, education and family traditions that we are able to unravel this conundrum.
But to really make sense of Italy and her culture, we must look beyond her shores, to the rock on Sicily.
Come join us for a lively evening full of fun and learning!
