FOLIO & DJ Matt Lindsey w/ Special Guests @ Hart's Wasted Space April 14, 2009

New Wave/Electro band FOLIO, DJ Matt Lindsey and special guests will be performing at Hart’s Wasted Space at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 4455 Paradise Rd Las Vegas, NV 89169 on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, as part of Wasted Space’s Indie Tuesdays.

The Los Angeles quartet, FOLIO and Las Vegas DJ, Matt Lindsey are touring the Southwest as part of the Discover America Tour. With stops in cities such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City and Phoenix this is one tour that should not be missed.

Fans have described FOLIO's music as a mid-air collision of Duran Duran, The Killers, Interpol, Shiny Toy Guns, and Depeche Mode. The self-produced Great Divide features performances by guest artists Joey Waronker on drums (REM, Beck, Smashing Pumpkins, Paul McCartney), Lyle Workman on guitars (Sting, Beck, Jellyfish) and Roger Joseph Manning, Jr. (Beck, Morrisey, Air, Jellyfish), who provided additional vintage synth textures. Three songs from 6 song EP "Great Divide" are featured in the new Destineer snowboarding XBox 360 game "Stoked". FOLIO also was a featured artist at this year's Texas Rockfest and Red Gorilla Musicfest in Austin, both of which took place during SXSW week, March 18-21.

DJ Matt Lindsey is renowned, versatile DJ. Matt is the former official DJ for MAC Cosmetics-West Coast, and Motorola (2005-2007). He was an on air DJ and music director for KOKF 90.9fm, with over 100,000 listeners. He has held residences at top Las Vegas nightclubs including Beauty Bar, and Club Risque. He has played for many internationally acclaimed actors, and musicians, including Nickelback, Dave Navarro, Carmen Electra, Gene Simmons and many more. DJ Matt Lindsey has also opened for John Mayer as part of a private Blackberry event at the Pearl Concert Theater and was recently requested by Panic at the Disco to dj at a private celebrity filled event at The Palms on April 5th. In addition to being a DJ, Matt is the owner of Overtone Media and A Fight For national band competition.
FOLIO's live shows feature a Simmons electronic drum kit, vintage keyboard sounds, and 3 part vocal harmonies. They will perform each track from the CD as well as 5 new tracks from their forthcoming full-length CD. DJ Matt Lindsey’s set includes music from some of today’s hottest artists to lesser known indie artists.
