Flying With Monarch Butterflies: Part 2 of 3: the Very Hungry Caterpil September 5, 2009

The Monarch butterflies at the WBG are getting ready to migrate to Mexico in October, and they will need a lot of energy to make the trip. In the caterpillar stage of their life cycle, they will eat as much milkweed as possible. Join us after a program on the best butterfly garden plants (10-11:00) to place some Monarch caterpillars on the Milkweed in the garden, and learn some fascinating facts about these wonderful and beautiful pollinators.
