Flying Saucer Summer Beer Tasting Featuring Magic Hat Brewing Company August 27, 2009

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium will present a beer tasting featuring Vermont-based Magic Hat Brewing Company on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. at its location 931 Senate St.

The event will be hosted by Magic Hat representative Lauren Sarver and will pair five of Magic Hat’s beers with five courses. Featured beer and food pairings include the Circus Boy Hefeweizen served with zucchini carpaccio and shrimp; Roxy Rolles Amber Ale with Italian summer bean soup; #9 Not Quite Pale Ale with basil and tomato pasta salad; Odd Notions Summer Belgian Blonde with seasoned pork chop, polenta and roasted root vegetables; and Odd Notions Fall Chocolate Belgian Stout with layered hazelnut mascarpone cream cake and fresh berries.
