The Flying Heritage Collection, founded by philanthropist Paul G. Allen, is one of the world’s great collections of rare World War II-era military aircraft. The Flying Heritage Collection's commitment to restoring its aircraft to authentic, flying condition sets it apart from all other aviation collections. From now until October 18, the Flying Heritage Collection will host free ‘Fly Days’ every other Saturday.

On Saturday, July 26 at 12:00 p.m., two iconic warbirds from the collection—the Republic P-47D Thunderbolt and the Polikarpov U-2/PO-2—will return to the sky for a ‘Fly Day’ at Paine Field. Lt. Ralph Jenkins, a veteran World War II pilot, who flew P-47s during the war will be on hand to meet and greet visitors.

‘Fly Days’ are free to the public, but do not include admission to the collection. FHC admission prices are as follows: Adults $12, Seniors/Military: $10; Youths (6-15): $8; Children (5 and under) are free; Groups (15 or more) are $10 per person.

NOTE: These flights are planned activities, but somewhat tentative, based on weather conditions, pilot availability and the mechanical condition of the aircraft. ‘Fly Days’ may be cancelled without notice due to these factors, so please call FHC at (877) FHC-3404 or check the Web site prior to your visit.
