Florida Orchestra: Bruckner's Symphony Number 5 April 3, 2009

With his Symphony No. 5, Anton Bruckner's brass chorales are not only becoming a more prominent feature of his music but perhaps they are becoming a kind of sonorous signature for Bruckner. This symphony is considered by some critics to be one of Bruckner's most powerful and passionate declarations of faith, and a masterpiece of counterpoint among his compositions.
