The Florida Conference for Women announced today that it will partner with Women For Hire to host the ReWork Career Fair on May 12, 2009, at the Orange County Convention Center, in conjunction with the inaugural Florida Conference for Women.
Women For Hire CEO Tory Johnson will share her perspective on professional success and provide tips to help guide women through these uncertain times. Known as the "job search guru and workplace fairy godmother," Johnson is a New York Times bestselling author and the workplace contributor on ABC's Good Morning America.
The ReWork Career Fair will feature local and national employers and recruiters with current employment opportunities in Florida. Expert speakers will present workshops on career development and advancement as well as practical advice such as resume development and networking tips.
Hosted by the Florida Commission on the Status of Women, the Florida Conference for Women, a one-day, nonpartisan education and networking event will bring together thousands of women from across the state to rethink, resolve and renew as they work toward creating meaningful change in their personal and professional lives.
In addition to the ReWork Career Fair, the Conference will feature internationally recognized speakers that will share their experiences and vision on issues such as business, finance, health, volunteerism, media and personal growth, among others. The event will include keynote sessions from women leaders in their respective fields, as well as dozens of breakout seminars by renowned panelists offering their insights and perspectives on a myriad issues that matter most to women.
