The Heard Museum is free to local residents on the second Sunday of the month. Now that the weather is cooler, let's local Flickrites meet there in the morning for photography and socializing. Bring proof of residency such as Arizona driver license (with a Valley of the Sun address), City of Phoenix water bill, etc. for free admission.
The museum is free to local residents from 11 AM to 5 PM. I'm organizing this for the first two hours of that time frame, but if you want to stay longer or arrive later, you're free to do so. Please tag all photos uploaded to Flickr upcoming:event=4571317

Well, I guess one day's notice was not enough for people this time. I went with my husband, but no one else was able to make it. I invited 20 Flickr friends on Facebook and posted a discussion in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix Metro) group on Flickr (link: http://www.flickr.com/groups/valleyofthesun/discuss/72157622555353630/ ), but everyone had other plans. Next time, I'll organize something further in advance, or better yet, let someone else organize it. ;-)
Really, though, we were going to go anyway, and we enjoyed it. We mostly only went to see Mothers and Daughters: Stories in Clay, so we'll tag our photos upcoming:event=4009565 out of respect for the previously existing event posted by the Heard Museum itself.
