Six of Kansas’ most popular 80’s bands are reuniting to fight Cancer!
The Flicker Lounge 80’s Band Reunion Bash will reunite original members of Dogs?, Room Full of Walters, The Catch, Film at Eleven, In/Out, and Dear John (w/ the Sleepy Truckers) Saturday, August 22nd at the Cotillion Ballroom in Wichita. Proceeds from the show will go to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Wichita, KS, August 22, 2009: As one of the most popular live music establishments in Kansas during the eighties, the Flicker Lounge has found new life on Facebook, spawning an online group that enjoys a membership of nearly 900 members that share memories, photos, videos and more. The reunion event for this group has now morphed into a live concert event that will feature reunion sets by some of the most popular bands in Kansas during the eighties (and beyond)! Members of Dogs?, Room Full of Walters, The Catch, Film at Eleven, In/Out, and Dear John (with The Sleepy Truckers) are traveling from points as broad as Kansas City, Florida, Idaho, Texas, and Ohio to reunite for a one night only show to benefit the American Cancer Society. Additional elements included new and reissued CD releases, band & event T-Shirts and more… The show is open to the public with tickets on sale now at all Select-a-seat outlets including Dillon’s stores, plant employee clubs, and the Cotillion box office as well as www.selectaseat.com. Tickets can also be ordered over the phone at 316-755-SEAT for $17.50 in advance. Tickets are $22.50 the day of the show. Doors will open at 6:30pm with the show starting at 7:30pm.
