Five Grains Of Sugar August 8, 2008

The play is about Rajkumar, a small town boy, and life in his nondescript town. There are also a motley of characters besides him - a poet whose career refuses to take off, a mother with a penchant for violent films, an old Gandhian who still not got over his one single meeting with Gandhi, a hero from his school days and an ‘invisible friend’. The playwright is Manav Kaul (translated to English by Arshia Sattar) and the director Nirmala Ravindran.
