This Innovation Lab, being part of a monthly series, offers an opportunity for participants to explore design possibilities that will have an impact on carbon. No prior knowledge is required but an openness to innovation, sustainability and exploring ideas. The evening includes light refreshments.
We have lined up some fantastic speakers for the evening:
Associate Professor Douglas Tomkin, School of Design at UTS
Selena Griffith, Lecturer, School of Design Studies, College of Fine Arts, UNSW
Dr. Andrew Wallace, Head of Network for European Technocrats, Technocracy for a Sustainable Future
Steven McKinnon, Future Canvas Melbourne on Reforestation project commencing in Docklands
Dr. Brian Lennon: Possible Carbon Winners and how we might achieve them
We have chosen our speakers from different areas of expertise. Therefore the different perspectives and the diversity of talent and ideas will assist us to think differently about possibilities in Climate Challenge.
The process will address questions like:
What can WE do here and now to reverse greenhouse gases in the atmosphere? Are integrated solutions possible? How do our efforts at home and at work translate to the big picture? How do we design systems that have a real impact? How can our consumption and production be effective in reducing greenhouse gases? What does a healthy system look like?
Opportunities for group discussions on the application of the presented ideas will be followed by co-design of solutions and rapid prototype a concept to reduce Climate Change. Diverse possibilities and inspired action in our companies and homes.
