MIGHTY presents Fischerspooner live DJ set Saturday, December 6th

San Francisco, CA (November 11, 2008) - Mighty presents a live DJ set by the performance troupe Fischerspooner. As part of a world tour Fischerspooner will be dropping by Mighty for a classic DJ set spinning their own cuts. 

Fischerspooner is orginally a dou formed in 1998 by classically trained musician Warren Fischer and video-artist/theater performer Casey Spooner. Since, Fischerspooner has branched out to over 20 performers and released 2 major albums; "1, a punked-up digital party record trussed with conceptual lyrics; and odyssey, a rich emotional fantasia with a deep, expansive sound."

From 1998 to 2000 Fischerspooner produced a multitude of electroclash tracks that were to accompany one of their performance's.  The tracks were a turn of the century statement in electronic music infused with "Spooner's love of pop confection and Fischer's classical training and background in the seminal math-rock band table." By self releasing the music first, Fischerspooner was able to establish a international buzz during the beginning of the digital music era.  Through DJ Hell's international deejay gigolo records fischerspooner released an underground vinyl which positioned them at the forefront of the electro movement.
