First Night is a community celebration of the New Year through the arts. It is an alcohol-free public festival that marks the passage from the old year to the new with art, ritual, and festivity.
First Night celebrations offer a wide variety of artists with a broad range of appeal. They are held in both indoor and outdoor venues in close proximity to each other. Admission to First Night Ada 2009 is FREE!
This year’s performers will include several local favorites and exciting new performers. We will have ballroom dancing again at the Stanley Wagner Ballroom, Battle of the Bands, a talent show, Broadway tunes, classical music, blues, instrumentalists, dance troupes, storytellers, a magician and arts and crafts. There will be something for everyone to enjoy.
First Night will be held on the campus of East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Check out the website www.firstnightada.com for a list of performers and their on campus performance locations.

Hi Everybody! This is Shari from the band Tin Can. First Night is going to be a BLAST! We will have over 60 different performers! Tin Can will be performing in the Kerr Center along with the battle of the bands. So, come check us out, and enjoy all the activities and performances.
