The First Fridays Business Network Reception Series (BNRS) purpose is to create an opportunity for metropolitan area business owners and professionals to network, make business connections, and close deals. Each month, the BNRS features a different prominent guest speaker, industry tables, food, and happy hour priced beverages.

The BNRS is for serious entrepreneurs and business professionals only and attendance will be limited to ensure an atmosphere for guests to network. The reception is free but you must register in advance to attend. This will be a powerful event with limited admission so be sure to register.

As President and CEO, William R. Teel, Jr. is responsible for overall executive leadership which includes responsibility for business affairs, corporate strategic planning, and mission success. William R. Teel, Jr. founded 1 Source Consulting, Inc. in April 1999 with the vision of building a strategic information technology and management consulting firm focused on helping clients "create synergy between business demands and technology solutions." William's extensive experience of over 16 years in the federal, commercial, and non-profit arenas also reinforced his belief that, in today's economy, organizations must optimize business operations, perform efficiently with scarce resources, and successfully compete in a rapidly changing global market.

William Teel's first job out of college was writing software at the Department of Energy. Sixteen years later, the 41-year-old founder of 1 Source Consulting took over the department's entire IT infrastructure. The seven-year project, which is worth more than $1 billion and is the largest contract ever awarded to a minority business by the DOE, transformed 1 Source, whose revenue went from $9.4 million in 2005 to $58 million in 2006. Securing the deal took more than a little ingenuity and luck. In fact, Teel had to risk everything he owned.

Prior to starting EES and 1 Source Consulting, William worked at the U.S Department of Energy, T. Rowe Price, Association of American Medical Colleges, James Martin Consulting, and ACS Government Solutions.
