Today, most of us think of chemistry taking place in a lab under the direction of a scientist. But hundreds of years ago chemistry was practiced in the home, often under the purview of women. During this presentation, the role of women in chemistry's history will be examined, shedding light on the serious science involved in what has at times been scoffed at as "women's work."
