Pope Benedict XVI in his recent encyclical, Caritas in Veritate (2009) accents the “Economy of Communion” as a promising economic model. This model has particularly been pursued in specific locales in Latin America. Tom and Jo Ann Rowley, members of the Focolare Movement for more than 30 years, will discuss their experience of founding, developing and sustaining an economy of communion business for the past two decades. Come listen to this fascinating narrative of an alternative economic model to the prevailing paradigms of globalization Forum titled, “Chiara Lubich, Focolare and the Economy of Communion.”
