First Friday at Frames and Things in Copperas Cove April 3, 2009

Robert and I are proud to Host this evening event every first Friday of the month. "Art After Dark" featuring the talents of local artist. Open to the public, there is no charge to attend.

Aprils Artist is Sheri Wilson she has spent most of her life in the Fort Worth-Dallas area. When I was young, summer trips to Kansas City to visit my grandparents and Uncle were a great influence with lessons at the Kansas City Art Institute and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
*At East Texas State University, where she received her degree in fine art and art education, and majored in print making. she has taught in public and private schools for twenty-three years and enjoyed imparting her love and knowledge of art to people of all ages.
and works with and combine a variety of different media in her work; pastel, acrylic, oils, colored pencil, ink, collage, stained glass, clay and jewelry. recent works are in acrylics, assemblage and jewelry making.
The aim of her work is to put the beholder in touch with the qualities which are normally overlooked in everyday life. Through the rush of time perhaps a few moments are robbed of their impermanence through art.
