First Baptist Girls’ Choir New England Tour July 1, 2011

The First Baptist Girls’ Choir, a non-denominational choir of young women from Nova Scotia will be performing a short tour of the eastern United States from Maine down to New York City from July 1 until July 8, 2011.
This multi-denominational choir is made up of girls within Truro and the surrounding areas and in addition to concerts, touring, and recording it contributes regularly to the worship services to the First Baptist Church in Truro.
The repertoire for the tour will be eclectic, bridging sacred and secular, traditional and contemporary. Also on the program will be arrangements of Canadian folk songs and a healthy mixture of spirituals and gospel songs to round out the program.
